My name is Lulu.
I am a cheery person who is thankful for each and every day. I am in love with the beautiful Pacific Northwest coast, where I am lucky to call home. I’m a working university student, and every day I am working towards my dream career. I know I am young. There are a lot of uncertainties, and for the most part—despite working hard for my goals—my future is pretty much up in the air. Way up there. But I’m okay with that. I realized that the years spent “pursuing happiness,” as they call it, was preventing me from living in the moment. I used to always look ahead, but I’d forget to look at what’s right in front of me. So nowadays, I just let things be. I learned that if I stopped fighting against the current and go with the flow, I might even enjoy the ride! I focus on trying to ‘zen out’ when I’m stressed, surround myself with engaging discussions, good people, beautiful places, and delicious foods. Thanks to an inspiring friend, I decided to start writing. The goal is to share my thoughts and ponders, discuss good ideas, get to know similar minds, maybe even share some recipes, but mainly serves to help me unwind in my busy day-to-day. I am spontaneous, but I keep myself entertained (someone’s gotta do it…) I like to make to-do lists but seldom remember them. I have a bad habit where I Instagram before I ‘eats’. Speaking of food, when I am hungry, I grumble. I am a big foodie, I practice yoga, I dance, and I enjoy sleeping—especially in the early mornings when I’m supposed to be getting up for school or work. I love felines, I love Bamboo (+RIP my little Simba), and every other cat, and I’ve also got a cool turtle named Charlie (who is older than me! Fancy that, eh?). I love my family—and my friends who have also become family.
This is the year of the Rooster. This is my year, and I’m going to make it worthy for the books. I have learned many valuable lessons, and while picking myself back up, I have met an unexpected friend, let’s call him Baron-Bear. He is my best friend now. My partner in shine. I am in love; the thought of him warms me up like a nice up of coffee on an early morning. Well, I am the happiest I’ve ever been.
